It gives us immense pleasure to share that Vikrant Rana, Managing Partner, S.S. Rana & Co. was recently invited for an expert interaction with Start Ups organised by Atal Incubation Centre-EMPI supported by Niti Ayog, Atal Innovation Mission on August 22, 2020.
In the session titled ‘Start Ups & Intellectual Property Rights’, Vikrant stressed on the growing importance of Intellectual Property protection for Start-Ups. Vikrant also highlighted from his past experiences in advising Start-Ups that the need of IPR is not only a matter of compliance but also as a matter of creation of asset.
In conclusion, he advised all the participants, many of whom were emerging Start-ups that it is in the best interests of the business to consider protecting their ideas appropriately at an early stage, as this may serve well to keep competitors at bay, while also serving as a tool to potentially securing royalties and monetize the IP effectively.
