In continuance of the Public Notice No. CG/Public Notice/TMR/2013-14-04 issued on November 20, 2013, the Office of the Controller-General of Designs, Patents and Trademarks (CGDPTM) in India, has issued yet another notice (dated December 24, 2013), allocating cases to various officers, of the Trademark Registry, for the month of January 2014, who are designated under special drive to dispose of requests for recordal of post registration changes in the registered Trademarks.
Special Drive For Recordal of Post-Registration Changes
Main highlights of the Notice:-
- The names of designated officers authorized to take up particular cases on a given day for the month of January, 2014 is published.
- The Designated Officers, at all five branches, i.e. Ahmedabad | Chennai | Delhi | Kolkata | Mumbai, shall take up for disposal all requests for recordal of post-registration changes made on forms TM-17, 19, 23, 24, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38, 42, 43 or 50, in the order of the number of registered trademarks.
- Where a single request has been filed for more than one registered trademark, the first mark mentioned in the request shall be considered for disposal by the designated officers.
- When there is an urgent need or demand in respect of hearing of a case, the scheduled date, or the designated officers and the cases to be taken up by them may be changed with prior intimation to the concerned public.
