Consumer Complaints can be filed in the Consumer Courts in India. With an aim to deal with cases pertaining to consumer grievances and disputes, the consumer courts also known as special purpose courts were established in India. The Consumer Courts in India are established at different levels:
- Consumer Courts at district level are called District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum (DCDRF).
- Consumer Courts at state level are called State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (SCDRC)
- Consumer Courts at national level are called National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC).
The structure of the Consumer Court is as follows:
