In this highly enriching session, Vikrant started by explaining the basics of intellectual property rights and its implication on the mordern economy. He also stressed on the nuances of protecting IP and its benefits for business entities and economy at large.
Further, he discussed the growing importance of IP for Start-Ups. He explained that the need of IPR is not only a matter of compliance but also as a matter of creation if asset.
In conclusion he emphasized on the fact that it is in the best interests of the business to consider protecting the ideas appropriately at an early stage. This will keep competitors at bay, while also serving as a tool to potentially secure royalties and monetize the IP effectively.
