The Members of Internal Committee (IC) are empowered to function as a civil court in POSH proceedings and therefore, must be vigilant and observant of the manner and legal procedures to be adopted in a POSH inquiry as per the POSH Act. Furthermore, the members of IC should be aware of all forms of unconscious biases that they might hold so as to deliver fair, reasonable and equitable recommendations in matters of sexual harassment.
