Online Availability of GI Documents Notification
The Office of Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trademarks (CGPDTM) has made available to the public complete details of all the pending and registered Geographical Indications Applications. All the documents with respect to the Gl applications including a copy of Application Forms, Statement of Case, Examination Report, E-Register of Registered GI applications, Copy of the GI Certificate, other supporting documents and necessary details are being made available by the Registrar.
The GI Registry claims to have taken the aforesaid measure to achieve complete transparency in the functioning of the Registry and has invited suggestions for further improvement/ refinement from general public.
