We are pleased to share that our Managing Partner, Mr. Vikrant Rana, was a panelist at the 19th Global IP Convention (GIPC), held in Bangalore from February 4 to 6, 2026.
Mr. Rana participated in a panel discussion titled “Enforcement in Indian Courts”, where he shared insightful perspectives on the evolving landscape of IP enforcement in India. During the session, he discussed several key landmark decisions that have significantly shaped IP enforcement jurisprudence, with a particular focus on progressive judicial approaches aimed at safeguarding the interests of right holders.
He also examined whether recent trends in awarding damages are contributing meaningfully to the strengthening of India’s IP enforcement framework. Further, Mr. Rana highlighted emerging judicial trends in interim reliefs and injunctions, analysing how Indian courts are increasingly balancing urgency, proportionality, and commercial realities in IP disputes. The discussion also explored the broader impact of these developments on the evolution of enforcement strategies adopted by rights holders in India.
