The 10th Edition of CII Industrial Intellectual Property Awards is in full swing and is set to grant 25 Grand Awards to the leading Organizations/Institutes with outstanding IP portfolios and honour more than 30 Top IP Driven Organizations/Institutes for their achievements across various aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs).

Eligibility
- Engineering/ Manufacturing Sector: Instrumentation, Energy and Power, Automobile, Chemicals, Metals and Metallurgy, Textile, Food & Beverages, Machinery, Engines, Electrical and Electronic Equipment and other sectors.
- ICT & Services: Software Development; Telecommunications Activities; Publishing Activities, Including Software Publication; Motion Picture and Sound Recording Activities; Radio and TV Broadcasting and Programming
- Life Sciences (Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology) & Agriculture: Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology.
- MSMEs: Applicants who wish to be categorized as MSME should fall under the definition of MSMEs as per the revised classification dated July 1st The Applicants are also required to submit a Proof for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises either in the form of Registration Certificate for MSME or Certificate by auditor that the company is in MSME category as on December 2021.
- Large Industries: Companies not falling in the category of MSME& Start-ups.
- Start-ups: Applicants who wish to be categorized as Start-ups should fall under the definition given by Government of India. The Applicants are required to submit the Incorporation Certificate along the Applications.
- R&D Institutes: Public funded laboratories coming under CSIR, DRDO, ISRO, DAE, DST, DBT, MeitY, MES etc., Private sector Research Labs, and Autonomous Labs set up by Trusts/Societies.
- Academic Institution: Centres Of Excellence/Labs/Specialized Technology Centres from Govt. Funded, Self-Financing and Government, Private or Autonomous Academic Institutions, Technical Colleges/Universities
Composite Criteria for MSMEs: Investment in Plant & Machinery/equipment and Annual Turnover

Conditions
- Applicant should satisfy the given definitions of the Sectors/categories.
- The organisation should have filed / granted applications for patents, trademarks, and designs first in India.
- The organisation should be able to show products / services which utilise their IP and wherever an exemption under Indian laws has been taken, and an application has been filed directly in a foreign jurisdiction, that application will be considered as first filed in India.
- Only those applications (patents / trademarks / designs) will be considered which have been filled / granted with in the specified period from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2018 i.e., for the period five years.
- Application should be submitted in the prescribed format by 30 June, 2023 along with fees.
- All necessary documents supporting the claims should be enclosed with the application.

Evaluation Process
The Evaluation Process consists of 5 steps
- Login ID Creation: Applicant have to create a Login ID by providing few basic information
- Online Application Submission: Once Login Credentials are received, the Applicants have to fill up the Application Form
- Visit to the Enterprise: Applicant has to visit the enterprise either Online/in Person to answer assigned questions on basis of which the assessor will give marks
- Grand Jury Meeting: A grand jury comprising of the experts will decide the award- winning company in each of the category, the top IP driven Enterprises, R&D Institutes and Academic Institution.
- Awards Ceremony: An Award Ceremony will be held in New-Delhi to recognise the Award Winners
