Mr. Vikrant Rana was invited for a guest lecture at the National Law University, Delhi on November 13th, 2024. He was assisted in the lecture by Mr. Arpit Kalra Karla, Associate Partner and Mr. Abhishek Chandok, Managing Associate at S.S. Rana & Co.
During the lecture, they conducted a session on “Global Trademarks Prosecution: Use of the Madrid System”. The lecture is a part of the skill-based course “Intellectual Property Prosecution: Acquisition, Oppositions and Maintenance”, designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world industry practices.
During the session, they reflected upon the importance and benefits of protecting your intellectual property in the foreign market and also highlighted key statistics on the Madrid system of International registration of Trademarks as well as India’s role as an office of origin. The session in gave students of LLM a comprehensive understanding on the subject of global trademark prosecution landscape.
