During the conference, Shilpi Saurav Sharan, Managing Associate was a panelist of an intriguing session on Data privacy risks and paths to compliance in India. The panel focused on the evolution of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the role of consent under the under regime, and the challenges faced in view of Artificial Intelligence to data privacy. Her co-panelists, Vidya Subramanian, Head- IP, Reliance Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Sameer Chugh, Chief Legal Officer, Games24X7 and Gururaja Rao, Principal Legal Counsel (Senior Vice-President) at Sony Pictures Networks also shared their wonderful insight about the provisions relating to the DPDP Act in India and the future of personal data protection in India.
