Keeping in line with the safety of the Industry, the safety of the workers is of paramount importance and so, S.S. Rana & Co.., being a supporting partner for this event, presented its report on the Women’s Safety at Workplace, 2nd Edition during this conference. The first edition of the report was released with FICCI in May of 2023. This report aims to delve into the intricacies of the POSH law and answers various technical questions that may arise while implementing this law. This report also includes numerous, up to date case laws as well as recent developments in the POSH act to ensure that the reader has a holistic understanding of the POSH Act, its purpose and the nuances that govern it.
After the launch of this report, Ms. Anuradha Gandhi, Managing Associate at S.S. Rana & Co.., presented the statistics on the surge of sexual harassment complaints in various industries, the need to go beyond compliance and create policies as well as strategies to provide for a wholesome and speedy grievance redressal mechanism. She further emphasized that the lack of the same could spell heavy costs for the organization- financial as well as reputational. She also stressed that ignoring the same would be creating a safety risk for both the employees as well as the organization.
