Webinar on IPR & cross border laws
It gives us immense pleasure to share that Mr. Vikrant Rana, Managing Partner at SSRANA was invited by the esteemed IP organization, Korea Intellectual Property Organization, KINPA for a webinar on April 13, 2022 premised on the topic “Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights at the Borders.”
Mr. Rana in his lecture elucidated on the essence of protecting IP rights by right holders at the borders as IPR infringement has significantly increased at the borders owing to rapid globalization and enhanced international trade. While highlighting the increased figures showcasing augmented encounter of infringing goods at the borders, he also discussed the measures that can be adopted by right holders under Customs Act, 1962 and Intellectual Property Rights (Imported Goods) Enforcement Rules, 2017 to prevent infringement of their IP rights at the borders.
