We are pleased to share that Mr. Nihit Nagpal, Associate Partner, Dispute Resolution at S.S. Rana & Co. was recently invited to conduct a workshop at the Parul University conference on “Innovation v. Regulation: Finding the Constitutional Balance in the Digital Economy.
The workshop’s central point: India’s Constitution adapts to the digital economy not through Article 368, but through ordinary means. Parliament legislates (DPDP Act, 2023), the executive makes rules (IT Rules, 2026 amendments; E-Commerce Rules, 2026), and the judiciary interprets (Puttaswamy, Shreya Singhal). The text has barely moved; the machinery around it has moved constantly.
Judging the NEME Moot Semi-Finals

Mr. Nagpal also judged the semi-final rounds of the NEME Moot, on a complicated problem at the intersection of constitutional law, criminal law and IT laws.
The teams brought the courtroom to life. Their preparation, command of law and composure under questioning gave the bench a real court experience.
Congratulations to all participating teams, and thank you to the organisers for the invitation.
