SSRANA & Co., was invited as a Legal Partner for the VDMA – 6th North Members Meet scheduled on 16th June 2023. The Meet commenced with a Welcome address by Rajesh Nath, Managing Director, VDMA INDIA and Chief Guest Mr. Madhan R, Indo-German Science & Technology Centre addressed the gathering.
Vikrant Rana, Managing Partner of SSRANA & Co. presented on the intriguing topic of “Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection in India”. During his discussion, he elucidated on various aspects of counterfeiting including the impact of counterfeiting on brand owners, government, and customers the legal provisions, remedies, and also the recent judicial trends in the award of pecuniary damages in counterfeiting and IPR infringement cases in India.
