Mr. Vikrant Rana invited as Keynote Speaker for International Conference on Comparative Law

It gives us immense pleasure to share that Vikrant Rana, Managing Partner at S.S. Rana & Co., was invited as a Keynote Speaker for the International Conference on Comparative Law, organized by Amity Law School, Amity University, Noida in partnership with the School of Business and Law, Edith Cowan University (Western Australia).

The International Conference was graced with the presence of various esteemed speakers, academicians and legal luminaries such as Prof. Subir K. Aston, Associate Professor/ Associate Dean of Law, School of Law, Edith Cowan University, Western Australia and Conference Convener, Vaishali Arora, Assistant Professor of Law, Amity Law School, Noida. Mr. Vikrant Rana, on February 19, 2021, enlightened the students on the thought-provoking topic of ‘Right To Privacy In The Digital Age’. In his session as a keynote speaker, Mr. Rana while emphasizing of the facet of an individual’s right to privacy, highlighted how in the digital environment use of personal information can be a ‘double’ edged sword. He also enunciated on the importance of enactment of the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019 in India and presented as to how the passage of the Bill would protect personal data of an individual rendered vulnerable in this digital age, including the right to be forgotten of an individual.
