India: Copyright Office Abandons 2021 Discrepant Applications

The Copyright Office had earlier by a public notice dated February 06, 2017 released a list of copyright applications having discrepancies, requesting all concerned applicants to remove the respective discrepancies in their Copyright Applications latest by February 28, 2017, failing which the said applications would be deemed abandoned. The Office in the said notice also extended its earlier deadline of February 15, 2017. However, in a subsequent notice dated February 22, 2017, the Copyright Office has released a list of copyright applications having discrepancies that were not removed within the earlier deadline of February 15, 2017, declaring them as abandoned, giving the concerned applicants liberty to file their applications afresh.
