Recent guidelines by SAIP on fees reduction for IP publication
The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) on June 09, 2022 announced a reduction in the official publication fees related to trademarks. This reduction in the amount will be applicable to any trademark application pending examination regardless of the filing date or recordals being filed after this date is subject to the new fees.
The reduction in the official publication fees has been announced in respect of the trademark filing, renewal, assignment, merger of an owner of a trademark, recordal change of (name and/or address).
The revision in the official publication fee is effective from June 09, 2022 and SAIP have updated their online filing portal in this regard as there is no such official notification issued by the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) regarding the such reduction in the amount of fee.
The reduction in the official publication fee is in the plan of Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) to promote the new filings, innovations and reinforcing economic and investment activities in Saudi Arabia.
The revised fee schedule is as under:
