How to Check Design Application Status?
After filing an Application for registration of design in India, it takes approximately 6-9 months to get the same registered with the Indian Patent Office (IPO). In the intermittent period, the IPO facilitates the applicant or his agent or any other person to check the status of his application filed in with the IPO at https://ipindiaservices.gov.in/DesignApplicationStatus.
The applicant can check the status of his design application by just entering the application number in the prescribed box.
It would also be relevant to mention here that the IPO’s website states that the application status for only those designs will be displayed which have been filed on or after April 01, 2009 with Application no. 222230. Alternatively, the system also facilitates search of design or application no. by entering the details of payment at the time of filing design application.
