S.S. Rana & Co. has been named the winner of Best Services Company in the Service (Small) category at the CII National Shining MSME Awards 2026, and has received Gold Certification. The awards are run by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and assess how micro, small and medium enterprises across India are managed, from quality and productivity to innovation.
About the CII National Shining MSME Awards
The Confederation of Indian Industry is one of India’s largest industry associations. Its National Shining MSME Awards, now in their second edition, recognise MSMEs for the way they run their businesses, looking at competitiveness, sustainability and long-term growth rather than revenue alone.
Who qualifies. The awards are open to MSMEs in India, with separate categories by sector and size. S.S. Rana & Co. competed in the services sector, in the category for small enterprises.
How winners are chosen. Winners are decided through an on-site assessment by CII assessors rather than on written nominations alone. In 2026, more than 50 companies from across India took part, and the assessment ran for over two months.
The format. Alongside the category awards, participants receive a certification level based on how they score against CII’s assessment framework. S.S. Rana & Co. received both the category win and Gold Certification.
What the award recognises
The CII assessors evaluated the firm across the following areas:
Vision, mission and customer focus. How the firm’s long-term direction is set and communicated, and how client needs shape the way services are designed and delivered.
Operational excellence and productivity. How work flows through the firm, how processes are measured, and what has been done to make teams more productive over time.
Quality and cost improvement. The systems that keep work consistent and the initiatives that reduce cost while supporting growth. The firm holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management and ISO 27001:2013 certification for information security management.
Innovation. Innovation that leads to intellectual property, new products and new services.
The award was received on behalf of the firm by its Chief Technology Officer, Sonu Rathore, and Senior Scientist, Sangeeta Nagar.
