A practice built around helping innovators protect their work, including Vikrant Rana’s role as an IP facilitator under the Government of India’s Start-ups Intellectual Property Protection (SIPP) scheme, and the firm’s focus on operational excellence and innovation, assessed and recognised in 2026 by a CII National Shining MSME Award.

About Vikrant Rana
Vikrant Rana is Managing Partner of S.S. Rana & Co. and a registered patent agent and Advocate on Record with the Supreme Court of India. His practice spans patent prosecution, opposition, enforcement and litigation, alongside trademark and IP strategy work.
Recognition. In 2026 he is featured in IAM Global Leaders, listed in the IAM Strategy 300, ranked Band 3 for Intellectual Property and IP: Litigation in Chambers Asia-Pacific, ranked Gold for Prosecution & Strategy in WTR 1000, and named an IBLJ A-List Icon.
Wider roles. He is a Professor of Practice at several Indian universities and an arbitrator with the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) for .in domain name disputes.
About Lucy Rana
Lucy Rana is Managing Partner of S.S. Rana & Co. She read law at the University of Delhi, specialising in IP, and enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi in 2007. Her practice spans trademark enforcement and litigation, prosecution and strategy, and corporate and commercial work.
Recognition. She is ranked in WTR 1000 2026 for both trademark enforcement and litigation and prosecution and strategy, was named in India Business Law Journal’s A-List 2024-25, and received the Star Women IP Lawyer of the Year award at the 9th Annual Global IP & AI Tech Conclave & Awards 2025 (Legal Era).
IP awareness. She was instrumental in establishing IP4Kids, the firm’s initiative to spread awareness of IP and encourage creativity and innovation among young people.
