About Vikrant Rana
Vikrant Rana leads S.S. Rana & Co., a full-service law firm founded in 1989 and headquartered in New Delhi, with branch offices in Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata. He was enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1996, registered as a patent agent in 1998 and became an Advocate on Record with the Supreme Court of India in 2006.
Clients and practice: He acts for Fortune 500 and multinational companies as well as grassroots innovators on contentious and non-contentious IP matters, covering trademarks, patents, designs and copyright, with litigation before courts across India, including the High Court of Delhi.
Start-ups and innovators: He is a registered IP facilitator under the Government of India’s Start-ups Intellectual Property Protection (SIPP) scheme, in place since 2016.
Professional bodies: He served as Co-Chair of INTA’s India Global Advisory Council from 2020 to 2021 and is a member of international bodies including ECTA, APAA, AIPPI and the IBA.
