Design registration in Djibouti

1. Submission of application and examination of documents;
2. Admissibility check;
3. Issuance of filing receipt;
4. Formal examination;
5. Substantive examination;
6. Issuance of registration certificate or decision to reject.

Required Documents:

1. Graphical representation or photographic reproductions (x2);
2. Power of attorney (simply signed) appointing our law firm to perform the filing of the design and model;
3. Abstract description of the design (in triplicate) signed by the design owner or appointed attorney;
4. Power of Attorney simply signed;
5. Priority claim: Official copy of priority documents (if applicable) certified.
6. Certificate of guarantee for international exhibitions.

Time Frame:

The expected timeframe for a design to be registered is 7 days from the filing date, approximately.

Multiple Designs:

Additional views of the same design are permitted at no extra cost.
