Design registration in Morocco

  3. Publication: Once the design passes the examination, it is published in the official bulletin for public inspection.
  4. Registration and Certificate: Once the design is published, the TMO proceeds directly to the registration stage without any opposition period. The design is registered, and a certificate of registration is issued to the applicant. This certificate confirms that the design is officially protected under Moroccan law.

Required Documents:

  1. Applicant’s details;
  2. Clear drawings or photographs of the design, showing different perspectives;
  3. A brief description of the design and the product it applies to;
  4. Documents of priority if any.

Time Frame:

The expected timeframe for a design to be registered is 3 – 6 months from the filing date.

Yes, it is possible to include multiple designs in a single application in Morocco.
