Design registration in Egypt

1. Filing the application: the application will be filled within 24 hours from the date of the instruction;
2. Examination: the decision will be issued after approximately 11 months;
3. Publication in the Official Gazette: the design will be published within two months from the date of receipt of the decision;
4. Registration: the time period of opposition is 60 days. After the end of period the design will be submitted to register.

Required Documents:

1. Power of attorney certified by the Egyptian Consulate;
2. Commercial register of the company certified also by the Egyptian Consulate;
3. Copy of the design.

Time Frame:

The expected timeframe for a design to be registered is 14 months from the filing date.

Multiple Designs:

It is not possible to include multiple designs in a single application.
